For example, the emergence of the internet as an education tool has impacted on the student-teacher relationship. In the former epochs, the teacher was viewed as more of a provider of knowledge. However, nowadays, the teachers are viewed as being as being supervisors in the classroom, responsible for guiding the way that students acquire information, through the aid of a supervisor, who is responsible for setting up an educational curriculum (Fairfield, 2009).
